365 Days

April 1, 2013

Windows XP, Microsoft’s hugely popular and enduring operating system, is being put out to pasture one year from now – April 8, 2014.  What does put out to pasture mean?  No more security updates or technical support.

If your business is still running Windows XP, it’s time to starting planning your upgrade strategy.  Windows 7 is still available, but not through retail, and is an excellent product.  Windows 8, Microsoft’s current operating system, is widely available but is a radical change in how a user interacts with a computer.  End user response to 8 has been mixed, at best.

365 days is plenty of time to plan and execute your business’ conversion to 7  or 8, but the time to start the process is now.
